My name is Rebecca Hucker and I am a senior at Chico State with a double major in Journalism: Public Relations and German. I plan to graduate in December 2011 while I study abroad in Lüneburg, Germany. After returning from Germany, I hope to move to Washington D.C. to work in the communications or public relations department for a political organization or become a U.S. diplomat.
Charms of Chico aims to reveal the boutiques, restaurants, museums, and other local businesses that many Chico State students forget to visit. Every week, I will go to a different place and write about how this particular business contributes to Chico’s small-town atmosphere. Each charm of Chico makes this city one of the best places to go to college, start a business, and raise a family.
